Default settings
Set defaults that flow into every order
Preferred language, account manager, and brand choices automatically populate new orders
Configure customer-level defaults once. Every order inherits these settings.
- Preferred language determines email and document language for this customer
- Default brand auto-fills the brand field in new orders
- Assigned account manager appears automatically when you create an order
- Leave fields empty to use company-wide defaults instead
- Change inherited values in individual orders without affecting the customer record
You set the preferred language, default brand, and assigned account manager in the customer record. When someone creates an order for this customer, Catermonkey copies those values into the new order. You don't re-enter the same information for every quote or confirmed job.
The preferred language controls which language the system uses when sending quotes and order confirmations to this customer. If you leave it blank, Catermonkey uses your company's default language. The default brand and account manager fields work the same way: set them here, and they appear automatically in the order editor.
These settings save time for sales teams working with repeat customers. You configure delivery rules, payment terms, and these defaults once, then focus on order details instead of administrative data entry.
