Basic information
Name it, describe it, classify it
The foundation of every item in your catalogue
Every product starts here. You give it a name your team recognizes and a description your customers read. You choose whether it's food, a package, or equipment. Catermonkey handles the rest.
- Set product name and customer-facing description with rich text formatting
- Choose product type: Food & Drinks, Package, or Equipment
- See contextual help text explaining how edits affect your catalogue and active orders
- Save new items with a single button labeled for the product type you selected
You type the product name once. It appears on quotes, orders, preparation lists, and invoices. The description shows up in customer-facing documents, write it in plain language or add rich formatting. You also decide the product type: Food & Drinks for dishes and beverages, Package for bundled menus and arrangements, or Equipment for items customers return after the event.
When you're editing a product inside an order, Catermonkey explains that changes save to your catalogue for future reuse. You can still modify price or description per order. When you're editing standalone, you see a simplified explanation. Either way, you know exactly what you're changing and where it will appear.
