Orders

Edit every aspect of an order in one place

Customer details, products, staff, vehicles, and workflow events, all visible on the same screen

The order editor is your command centre for a single catering job. Open any order and adjust dates, confirm products, assign delivery staff, attach kitchen notes, or review what changed and when.

  • View and edit customer, date, location, products, staff, vehicles, and attachments without switching screens
  • Adjust portion sizes, packaging, and delivery type for individual products or entire packages
  • Set location-specific start and end times for multi-drop orders or events with early setup
  • Review the activity log to see who changed what, status updates, product edits, invoice sends, with timestamps
  • Attach files (floor plans, contracts, dietary notes) directly to the order
  • Assign staff and vehicles; the system flags roster conflicts and tracks RSVP responses

You open the order editor by clicking an order in your orders list. The editor loads the full order record: which customer placed it, where and when you're delivering, what you're serving, who's prepping and driving, any special requests, and the complete activity log.

Every field is editable in place. Change the event date, reassign the account manager, swap a product for another, adjust portion sizes or packaging. Attach files, floor plans, signed contracts, dietary spreadsheets. The activity log records who changed what and when, so you can trace every edit back to a person and a timestamp.

Location handling supports multi-drop orders. Set separate start and end times for each location if the setup crew arrives early or breakdown runs late. If a customer hasn't chosen a location yet, you can leave it blank and fill it in once they confirm.

Staff demand and vehicle assignment live in their own tabs but remain part of the same order record. Schedule your chefs and drivers, track RSVP status, flag roster conflicts. When you're ready to produce, the data flows directly into your preparation lists and delivery routes.

Who benefits

Business owner

You can trace every change back to a person and a date. If a customer disputes an invoice, the activity log shows exactly when the quote was accepted and what was ordered.

Sales / account manager

Edit a quote on the fly during a sales call. Add a product, adjust the guest count, confirm the location, all in real time while the customer is on the phone.

Kitchen manager

Check which products need portion adjustments or special packaging before you print the preparation list. Everything's visible in the order editor.

Chef

See the customer's dietary notes and attached allergen spreadsheets without leaving the order screen.

Delivery staff

Confirm your assigned vehicle and route. If the location has specific start and end times, they're shown in the order editor.

Event staff

Review setup and breakdown times for each location. The order editor displays separate start and end timestamps if the event spans multiple sites.

Accounting

The activity log records when invoices were created, sent, and marked paid. You can audit the entire financial timeline from one screen.
